Today is the launched of the new Pinoy Blog Directory by Andrew of alleba.com, very popular pinoy search engine and directory. Ratified.org simply rank blogs according to technorati popularity and feedburner subscriber. Really nice way to measure a blogs credibility and quality. In case you’re wondering if the rumored rel=”nofollow” implementation in Wikipedia is true, I would say its true and here’s the illustrations that all external links have rel=”nofollow” tag.

This is the answer of Wikipedia to all spammers out there. So for SEO purpose it’s almost no value at all. Atleast for Google. But for sure will get traffic if you have link on Wikipedia. If you’re thinking of spamming Wikipedia by inserting external links to increase your PR and SERP rankings it would be no use for Google SERPs. But is it worth it to increase Yahoo and other Search Engine rankings? I must say “Yes!” but since Google is where most of the websites traffic coming from. Better focus on something worthy of your time by creating new contents for your site and making your website search engine friendly. So I must say don’t waste much time in spamming Wikipedia. There are lot of things that you could do to gain more traffic other than SERPs traffic by infiltrating Social Bookmarking sites. Thats a hint on how to gain more traffic.

The much awaited PageRank Update has already started base on the testimonials of some website owners. Usually this PR update will took 3-4 days like the other PR update. As of now still no changes on all of my sites. What is the importance of this PR update? As an SEO, this is the way they measure how successful their link building was. As of now different DC’s showing some changes in PR of some of the sites. Now, lets wait for the Toolbar update.

But there are lot of doubts that there is a PR update going on right now. Because some don’t see any updates from their sites.

After few months of waiting finally DMOZ added SEO Pinoy to their directory. SEO Pinoy started last November 2 2007. Another milestones for SEO Pinoy that keeps me inspired everyday. So whats next? Hopefully SEO Pinoy would get free links from Yahoo Directory as well. I’ll let you know on the next couple of days how did I get into DMOZ. But for now this is something that need to celebrate. As an SEO we all dream of having our own SEO company. But fulfilling your dream takes lot of hardwork and courage. Especially of you have a day job. Because if you decide to leave your company and start to build your own there is no turning back. While researching for this type of business I found out that most of these SEO companies are group of SEO build their own company. So if you’re considering building your own company, you must have lot of mentors and friends that could help you in these business. There are lot to consider in building a company. First funds to support your daily needs and monthly bills. Second people you can trust. Its really hard to find people that would work for you faithfully. Third, you have to organize your company in a manner that everything would work smoothly. 4th how to make sales or getting clients for your seo services example is you need Lead Management that would take care of it.

Up to now I’m still undecided but hopefully before next year I could decide for myself what will I do. I’ve been a freelancer before and I can differentiate on what is the good and bad side of it. Because having your own company is just like being a freelancer as well.

After the official statement of Google here its actually Matt Cutts (Google Engineer) who told that you can report websites that are selling links. Someone in Digitalpoint ask if it will kill Text-link-ads?
