Today I’ve decided to add FAQ features on every post. So that whenever someone ask for a question in search engine, I can answer them directly if they happen to land on a specific page of my blog. You will see this FAQ in almost every post. For example, someone ask Yahoo this question ” Can Paypal reverse pending withdraws? ” you can see that I’m on the top 2 in the results. If he/she decides to click the link they will be directed to this paypal withdrawal problem post. You can see the question has been highlighted, and will be easily answer his/her question. So don’t be surprised if there will be random questions that will be inserted to the post, but ofcourse all will be on-topic. You can see the logs of the FAQ features on the sidebar, there’s a special place for FAQ page.
In SEO Standpoint this strategy will work to add more readership to you blog since the keywords is there, and if someone like your post they will link to your site or bookmark you which will add more traffic to your site. If you want to know on where are did I get this question, it’s no secret. You can see it on your Google Analytics new version.
Steps to look for keywords that people using why they arrived to your site;
1. Login to your Google Analytics account.
2. On the upper-left corner of the page, you can see a drop-down menu on what site you would like to view reports.
3. Then Click Traffic sources-> Search engines -> Google or Yahoo
4. You can now see what keywords people are using to find your post. Use it to optimize your content and add more readers to your site.

It’s been a while since I’ve talked about SEO in this blog. Mostly about webmaster related topics, and experiences. This week I’ve started working as an SEO again, and trying to promote some of my sites. I must admit I need some help probably from an SEO consultant, because I’ve been away from SEO world from quite a while now. SEO is really a complex and dynamic topic, and you can’t say that if this SEO strategy will work in the next few weeks and or months.
Getting an SEO consultant for your site is not a bad idea. Most of this SEO consultant really knows what they are doing, and if you’re running a business you don’t have much time to know a lot about the latest trend and strategy in SEO.
Right now I’m working on promoting some local sites that I’ve started working on last month. And at this time I’m seeing some results of my SEO work. But I can’t say that my knowledge is enough to make my site dethroned local established sites in the top 10. But I’m happy that in Yahoo some of the keywords I’m targeting are already on the top 5.
Since I’m talking about SEO on this post, I would like to share to you some of the strategy I’ve done on my latest SEO campaign. I’ll just enumerate it:
1. Link Building – SEO is more about links.
2. Still content is king – If you’re site is worth to link to, people will link to your site for free.
3. Hardwork, hardwork, and hardwork – Just do it.
Obviously this is not a secret SEO strategy. Basically, you just have to beat your competitions on whatever they’re doing.

This morning I’ve installed Wordpress 3.0 on my other sites because I want to try the new version of Wordpress. After installing, I’ve added wordpress themes. And to my surprise, none of them worked on my site (after installing atleast 8 wp themes). Errors always appeared whenever I activate the themes. So I’ve decided to delete Wordpress 3.0 and go back to Wordpress 2.8. Not sure if it’s my hosting scripts are really outdated or it’s because of Wordpress 3.0. In the meantime, I won’t use Wordpress 3.0 in the near future unless I received a buzz that older WP themes are working on this Wordpress version.

Just recently added a cool Wordpress plug-in, StatPress. You won’t have to login to your Google Analytics account to see your traffic, and other stats regarding the performance of your site. This is how it looks:

I think I need this WP plugins because of it’s simplicity. If you want to try it, you can download it for free.

Just a heads up. It’s just weird that suddenly all of my sites on a particular Godaddy shared hosting server got this type of error. If ever you will experienced this problem, there’s nothing to worry about. Just send a ticket to their support. I’ll update you on their reply to the support that I’ve sent few hours ago. According to their confirmation message, I should get a response within 6 hours. (sounds good)
UPDATE:
It seems that they’ve messed up with my files, and now they’re telling me that I’ve done wrong with my site. Because after 5 days, I received another error (”Error! Cannot find home”) on their system when I try to open my file manager on same account. Anyway, they told me in order to restore it, is to do the following steps below. If you encounter anything like these at Godaddy shared Linux hosting. These procedures are needed to restore your files. Or if you have time to wait for Godaddy’s response, might as well submit a support ticket to be sure.
Hosting History is a feature in Linux shared hosting that allows you to restore files or directories to their previous state from up to 30 days ago using the File Manager.
Restore a File or Directory
1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. From the Products section, click Web Hosting.
3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
4. In the Content section of the Hosting Control Center, click the File Manager icon. Then click the History button.
5. Use the directory tree to navigate to where the file or folder resides that you want to restore.
6. Below the toolbar, click the calendar icon to open the Quick Pick Calendar and select the date where you would like the file or folder restored. The directory list will refresh and display the version of your hosting account from the date selected.
7. Click the check box next to the file or folder you want to restore and click Restore in the tool bar.
8. In the Restore Files or Directories pop-in, select if you want the files to be copied to a new directory, or if you want to rename the files. When you’re finished, click OK.
Your files will be restored with the attributes you selected.

Configuring Outlook Express for Godaddy Email:
1. Log in to Web-Based Email at email.secureserver.net.
2. From the Help menu, select Email Client Settings.
3. Make a note of your incoming and outgoing server information.
4. Continue with the procedures outlined below to set up your email client.
Here’s the story. After configuring my Email Via Outlook Express, I’ve tried to send an email from my Gmail account to Godaddy Email. And It works, I received it on my Outlook Express Inbox. And after that, I’ve tried to send an email from Outlook Express to my Gmail Account. I’ve got an error message which said something like this:
Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server smtpout.secureserver.net failed. The server may be unavailable or refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct and try again, or else contact your network administrator.
Hmm, not good. So I’ve tried reading some materials on Godaddy FAQ’s and searching it on Google. Looks like I’ve found the answer. I’ve changed the default Port 25 to Port 80 or you can use Port 3535 whatever works for you. If these does not solve your problem in other version of Outlook Express, you can always use other email client program. I recommend Mozilla Thunderbird. You can download it here for free.
