While checking the logs of my traffic I found a huge boost in SEOPinoy’s
traffic. I search all my traffic logs
And checking where it did came from, to my surprise I found people
that are talking about how dangerous link exchange is. Which I recently
blog about it here. The traffic came from a popular SEO forum in Germany.
I’ve used language translator to check what are they talking about my
blog post. The language translator I’ve used is a free online translator
which offers only limited translation which results to a not so accurate
translation. But according to the translator a senior member of the
forum told on how Google look into link exchange. Oh well, if there
is someone who could translate it to me I would join the
forum and discuss things with them.

64 teams will fight for the supremacy for the 2007 NCAA division 1 mens title. And I’m a big basketball fan like Matt Cutts. One of my favorite to win this year NCAA’s title would be North Carolina Tar heels. Though Duke still a competitor for the title. Florida is still on the hunt for the title and Maryland. Just like the past years, I think anyone has the chance to win the ring. The whole NCAA Division 1 Men’s Basketball Championship bracket/ schedule can be viewed here.

After a 4 day vacation I’m back to the online world. I must say I really miss working again and facing my PC. But I will also miss our vacation. During our Davao vacation we had lot of fun. We made lot of pictures and videos of the beautiful island of Samal in Davao del Norte. We also made a 3g call or videoconferencing on some of our friends in Manila. It’s actually my first time making a video call and I was amazed how fast the connection even in rural area.

I know lot of people in the Philippines still not aware of SEO. But not for too long. Search Engine Optimization and Search Engine Marketing are now becoming popular job in the Philippines. Before the most popular job for Information Technology related industry was programmer and developer. Now SEO/SEM are already sharing the spot. The salary of a SEO specialist is almost equal to a programmer. As the internet develop more, SEO are becoming popular as well. What made SEO become more in demand than the programmer? I think it’s because of the different free/paid open-source programs available now in the internet. So how far do you think SEO will go? I think as long there are increase in internet awareness of the people the more demand for a SEO specialist. Now I’m thinking of University will open degree course for Search Engine Optimization soon. I won’t be surprised if AMA and STI will offer this course on their colleges. Let’s see what happen in the next 2-3 years.

For all the bloggers who are running wordpress software on their blog. You may encounter a spam on your comments. So I’ve decided to write different ways on how spammers get in to your blog comments. First they will test on how your site accepts blog comments by putting first the URL of Google in their blog comments. After the software confirms on how you are accepting spam blog comments. Here are the common common keywords that you will see on a spam blog post are different products and services related to your niche. For example if you have beauty blog you will have some comments that is related to cosmetics and different type of makeups.
While reading some solutions for my problem I found a good plug ins that will lessen the spam on your blog. The plug in is called Akismet, and you can download it here. Pretty nice Plug ins. Will help you filter spam blog comments.

I can still remember in High School our JS Prom was one of the memorable moments I have. It’s because it’s the first time I wear a formal dress. Seriously its because there are lot of things happen there and it’s worthy to remember. I can still remember when I invite my partner which is I really don’t know personally but I only see her in the campus. She’s a cute and slim girl which at that time on her 3rd year. I was 4th year that time and I found it hard to invite her to be my partner in the Prom. Luckily I found out that these girl is the classmate of my sister. So I got my partner. But during the prom I can feel that she’s not comfortable with me that’s why I didn’t really have good time dancing with her. As the night goes on I abandon my partner and start looking for someone that would feel comfortable with me. Unfortunately I found someone that is just like my original partner. Ok, great what a night. So I ended the night without a partner and just join my other friends that has no partner as well to sleep with that night.
I think it’s the best time to discuss prom night because these are the times that people are looking for good suits and prom dresses. I remember I was about to wear a Barong Tagalog that time but on the last minute I’ve decided to wear a suit which I found on my Father’s closet during the prom night.

Just last week I’m looking for an Ipod that I will give to my sister as a gift for her graduation. Because I’m very busy to go to the mall I look to purchase online. It came to my mind to try to buy on Ebay.ph. If you’re not familiar with Ebay.com, it is a portal where you could sell different products online and some other stuff you own (new/old). I don’t really know how much Ipod cost. So I search Ipod on the website and found some. The first is Ipod 2nd generation BIN Price is 2000php. So I thought it’s a bargain that’s why I took the BIN price. So I contacted the seller. But after talking to him I saw later that the post was edited and he stated that this is 99.9% like the original Ipod (Made in China) . Now I’m disappointed. I told the seller that I would contact him later this week. Also on that same day I bid on an Ipod Nano which the highest bid is around 2,450 php and so I bid for 2,750 php. And the next 2 days ebay sent me an email telling that I won the auction. And I’m so excited that I won the auction I contact the seller via SMS. Then he told me he will call me back on my landline. I gave her my landline. The conversation goes like these.
Me: Hello
Seller: Hi, this is the seller of the Ipod nano( I wouldn’t mention her real name)
Me: Hi, good evening.
Seller: Have I deal with you before?
Me: Nope, Why?
Seller: Because my old account have been deleted on Ebay for few times now.
Me: Oh ok, Why they delete it?
Seller: Because they don’t want people selling “not original” Ipod.
Me:(confused) Oh ic
Seller: I just want to remind you that this is not original Ipod.
Me: So what is the difference between the the original and your product?
Seller: My product is much better because it has more features than the original. Does the original Ipod has video and radio?
Me: Really, Ok I’ll just contact you later this week because I’m working during weekdays.
Seller: Ok, just contact me when you will get it. Atleast 2 days before so that I could get the product.
Me: Ok, sure. Thanks
-End of the conversation-
The moral of the story is make sure you’re buying the original one. I have no plans of buying the product because it’s against my principle to buy these type of products. So I guess I’ll just leave a message to them that I’m not interested anymore because the product is not what I’m looking for. I hope they would not leave me a negative feedback in Ebay.ph. I’ve heard few pirates are selling fake products lately. My friend has just told me (because he’s a guitarist and loves collecting guitars) there are lot of fake guitars that are being sell in Ebay.ph Now I’m afraid about implementing PayPal in Ebay.ph because you might get lot of fake products. Jeezzz… But anyway I hope this will serve as a warning who wants to try ebay.ph. I’m just lucky that these people told me the truth about their product before selling it.
