Business directory offers a large collection of business websites. It sorts the business websites into different categories such as advertising, job, recreation, shopping, entertainment, health and etc. If you have a business website, you can add it to the directory by navigating to the most relevant category. After you have navigated to the most relevant category, you should select the suggest site link to go to the submission page. In the submission page, you have to provide the web address, description, title and email address. You should consider buying a listing at the paid directory because it can add a high quality backlink to your website.

Some directories offer free webmaster tools for webmasters such as the keyword position tool. The tool allows you to find out where your website is ranking for a particular keyword. To use the tool, you must enter the keyword you intend to query and your website address into the appropriate fields. Besides, it also offer other webmaster tools including website analysis checker and Google ban checker. The website analysis tool find outs how long your website takes to load. The Google ban checker can determine whether the domain of your website is banned by Google.

I’m back once again for another SEO tips on this SEO Blog, this time will tackle about a link building scheme that has been widely used now by SEO and webmasters called linkwheel.

What is Linkwheel?

It is a link building strategy where as webmasters try to build links from related websites in wheel-type structure. The primary beneficiary of this link wheel is the main site. Basically the logic behind these link schemes is to support each sites without reciprocating and helping the money site.

Linkwheel structure:

1. Site A links to site B; site B links to site C and until the last site links to site A.
2. Site A- Site X (where x is the number of sites) all link to the main site.

Is it effective in link building?

In my opinion, yes it helps a lot. I’ve seen lot of webmasters hiring people to create mini-sites and blogs for them. They’re creating sites from keyword rich domains, dropped PR domains, free bloggers domains, and some by renting links from various website owners. For some to be able to get away from Google’s radar, they’re trying to host their site from different IP’s.

Linkwheel is not a new SEO strategy. It is already being used for few years now. I think there will be more and more linkbuilding schemes will be invented over the years.

Positioning is one of the important elements in making a website a winning one. Websites are an integral way for companies to introduce themselves, their products and services to the internet’s consumer market. In this day and age convenience and availability are key factors in consumer purchases. The internet is an ideal market place because it caters to both factors that affect consumer purchases because internet access is available almost everywhere and at anytime and purchases can be made in the convenience of one’s work desk or home and with just a click of a mouse.

Websites are generally electronic brochures for a company’s products and services. Aside from what they are promoting there is usually a brief company background to inform visitors who they are dealing with. There are literally thousands of companies with websites which means there are also an abundant number of sites that have similar or are promoting the same product or service. Since there are so many to choose from, how or what will make the consumer single out a particular website? In reality there is no way for companies to make the decision for the consumer but this does not mean that the companies have absolutely no control over the situation.

The option to choose which website to visit as we know is entirely up to the consumer, the trick is finding a way to point them in your websites direction. How does a company go about doing this? The search engine determines the list of results to choose from. The best way to go about the situation is by having a company’s website or link appear before the competition.

The use of directory submitter software can help companies get to a consumer before others. The software is a clever tool that does not in any way influence a consumer’s choice but it helps put a company’s website in a position that it would be one of the first on the list of choices. The search engine determines the priority sites on a particular subject from the not so priority ones. If there are other sites, blogs or articles on the web that are relevant to a company’s website and link back to it the search engine will deem the site an authority on the key words used in the search. This puts the website higher up if not top of the list. This is a way to for a company to place its website in position that would allow consumers to get to it easily and conveniently.

Just got back from lot of distractions. Back to work finally. Here’s another SEO tips I would like to share to you. Just recently I’ve tried to experiment using Signature links from a popular webmaster forum for my link building campaign. And after a month or two(not sure when) to my surprise my clients ranking now on top 10 for keywords “Baja Boats“. But don’t be fooled, Signature links is just an addition to my link building campaign or search engine optimization for this keyword/s. Prior to this, I’ve already made the basic of link building such as directory submission, article directory submission, link exchange, and link baiting. I would try to remove it to my signature link in the next few weeks and we’ll see if they will give significant results. Also I will launch another Signature links case study for the keyword/s Denver Colorado real estate. I’ll start this one probably next month because I’m scheduled to a vacation(again).

We will be launching more campaign on the following months. Just recently file my resignation letter, and effective September 1. I will be working as a freelancer again. But this time I might SEO my own site and stop accepting SEO clients. Nevertheless, I will update you on my future SEO case studies and developments. Although my current employer offering me some freelance work, I might accept it, depends on the demand of the work. Wish me luck for my new venture.
